The election of the Governor of the Leningrad Region may be invalidated. This, according to the correspondent of the Echo of Moscow radio station in St. Petersburg, said Vladimir Zhuravlev, head of the election commission of the Leningrad Region.
The violations recorded during the vote, in particular, the bribery of voters and the facts of election campaigning, can lead to the recognition of the elections.
Zhuravlev explained that if the difference between the votes gained by candidates who took the first and second places will be approximately equal to the number of proven facts of bribery of voters, the court may decide to recognize the elections invalid.
