After the Mi-8 disaster in Kamchatka, flights of three airlines are prohibited in Kamchatka

In Kamchatka, the flight activities of three of the four helicopter airlines were stopped. This was announced by the head of the transport department of the regional administration, Mikhail Stodeev.

According to him, on Wednesday, an electronic version of the document was received on the peninsula from the certification body of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, notifying the cancellation of certificates-operators of three Kamchatka airlines: "Ksudach", Khlalactyka, RIA Novosti reports.

The certificates of these companies themselves were canceled on September 29 - according to the results of the audit conducted by the Ministry of Transport Commission, in connection with the Mi -8 helicopter disaster in Kamchatka, the official said.

He explained that the commission revealed serious violations of certification requirements to three airlines. The Mi-8 helicopter crash belonged to the Halaktyrka airline and rose from the helicopter site of the airline Krechet.

On board the Mi-8 were 20 people, including the Governor of Sakhalin Igor Farkhutdinov. All of them died.

"Legally, the electronic version of the document, which received through the official channels and having all the necessary attributes, allows you to stop the airlines suspended before that,” Modeev said. “In the coming days, the original document will be received in Kamchatka.”

According to Codeev, five operators of flight equipment were registered on the peninsula, four of whom were engaged in helicopter transportation. Thus, only helicopters of Kamchatka Airlines will be able to fly now.

Modeev clarified that “Halaktyk”, “Ksudach” and “Krechet” can undergo a certification procedure from the very beginning, or work with current operators.

The airlines themselves consider the decision of the Ministry of Transport Commission unfair.
