"Ilyich light" reached the Karelian village of Fedotovo: electricity appeared there

In the village of Fedotovo, located 36 km from the city of Medvezhyegorsk (Republic of Karelia), for the first time during the years of the universal electrification of Russia, declared by the founder of the Soviet state Vladimir Lenin in the first half of the last century, electricity came.

In the presence of residents of the village, representatives of construction and energy organizations, guests from Moscow and Petrozavodsk, a power line connecting high -voltage networks with the power supply system of the village of Fedotovo was solemnly opened, Interfax was told in the Karelia government.

In total, five residential buildings are left in the village today, there was never electricity there, despite the fact that the high -voltage power line passes only 500 m from the village.
