The United States discovered in Iraq the archives of Iraqi special services, which include searches and detailed information about foreign agents. This was reported with reference to sources in the US administration on Monday, the newspaper Washington Post.

Archives contain documentary confirmations of remuneration that were paid to Iraq to agents in the Arab world and other countries. The sources of the newspaper refused to name the names or inform the countries in which the agents of the Iraqi special services acted, RIA Novosti reports.

"The recipients of remuneration occupied high posts and worked in Arab countries and other regions," the newspaper writes, reporting that the United States is now "actively developing" information received in the archives.

Referring to those who were not named by the official representatives of the US administration, the newspaper notes that “well -known personalities and political figures that received money from Iraq with Irakski, protecting publicly Saddam Hussein or defending his interests”.
