In Karbel, a car exploded at the Shiite mosque. Three dead

At least three people were killed and two were injured as a result of the explosion, which occurred on Monday in the city of Karbela a hundred kilometers south of Baghdad, ITAR-TASS reports.

EFE reported with reference to eyewitnesses that, obviously, a mined car, parked near the hotel from the most revered by Shiites of the mosque, where the ashes of Imam Hussein, was obviously flew into the air.

The facade of the building is greatly destroyed. It is also reported that in this hotel there are usually pilgrims from Iran, arriving in this sacred city for Shiites.

Karbela is located about 102 km southwest of the Iraqi capital. After the fall of the Saddam Hussein regime, this city, which is the spiritual center of Shiism, began the mass pilgrimage of believers, including Iran, which profess the Shiite Islam.

It is reported that random passers -by were victims of the explosion.
