The Moscow Department of Education forbade celebrating Halloween in public schools, but still there was a school that, at its own peril and risk, decided to hold this holiday under the cloak of secrecy for high school students. The children were satisfied with the director's decision and "sworn" not to disclose this information. The correspondent of "Novaya Gazeta" was allowed to attend the Sabbath, taking a subscription not to disclose names and surnames.

Three elders from the senior classes were sent to the director for a “meeting”. They offered to spend the holiday at the school, only "for adults". They said that they are already responsible people and promise that everything will be quiet. The director was reluctant at first, but eventually gave in.

The guys brought decorations, and two hours before the start of the holiday they gathered in one large class and started their work. First of all, they hung a poster on the door with the inscription “We don’t let you in without sweets”, decorated the school board with colored crayons, hung black cloth on the walls with “horrors” glued to it: witches on broomsticks flying towards vampires, etc. Lanterns were sewn to the same fabric, which lit up in different colors. Balloons were everywhere, they hung under the ceiling, on the windows, attached to the desks with ropes, they rushed up. A music center was brought from the director's office.

Started at 19:00. The girls wore black overalls, the length of the nails was shocking, but the attached long noses with warts looked good. Boys dressed as vampires and werewolves. There were also those that came in the costumes of Spider-Man and Superman. As soon as everyone was assembled, competitions began, for which the winners received bloody prizes - severed hands, hearts and other organs. And the losers left the battlefield with sweets with the taste of garlic, onions, peppers. The contest "Who will most elegantly kill a witch" was won by a vampire who approached the witch from behind, tilted her and dug his teeth into her neck. For the victory, he received new teeth.

The guys danced to the Rammstein, and everyone had fun watching their comrades in a new look.

Although the Comrade Director allowed the celebration to take place, he was certainly nervous about it. On the day of Halloween, he sat in his office all day without getting out, and only when he was convinced that everything went off without incident, he went home with a calm soul.
