Gazprom's profit for a year has grown 10 times

“Gazprom” on Friday published the results of the company's activities for the first half of 2003 according to the international reporting standards IAS.

The net profit of Gazprom OJSC for the first half of the year amounted to 103.765 billion rubles against 10.3777 billion rubles a year earlier, ITAR-TASS reports.

Gazprom’s balance sheet earnings increased 1.8 times over 6 months and amounted to 144.793 billion rubles.

The revenue from sales amounted to 421.827 billion rubles, against 306.537 billion rubles a year earlier.

In the second quarter, Gazprom's net profit increased 3.2 times and amounted to 47.8 billion.
