Students of Youth "Yabloko" held a rally against tuition fees

About two hundred Moscow students today took part in a protest rally against the actions of the administration of the Moscow State Linguistic University (former Institute of Foreign Languages ​​named after Maurice Torez), which is trying to impose paid education to its students.

The leadership of a linguistic university is trying to introduce a fee for "additional services", or rather for the study of foreign languages. Students who are unable to pay will learn only one language under a reduced program.

On the Gogolevsky Boulevard, representatives of various universities of the capital, an independent union of students, the organization “Students for Free Education” and the Moscow Youth Yabloko, gathered at the monument to Nikolai Gogol.

Moscow students brought an iron pelvis with them to the rally with the inscription “for the rector”, in which they threw an iron trifle. Those who ended the money turned his pockets and stepped aside, joining the rest of the students holding round banners with exciting images of the main currencies of the world of the V dollar, yen, pound sterling, rubles, etc. According to the rally participants, all this symbolized: “We will not pay any dollars, or rubles, or euros, or any other money for what we should get free!”

The action lasted 40 minutes, after its completion, the Arbat Department of Internal Affairs were detained by several participants, including the leader of the Yabloko youth Yabloko, who performed at a rally.
