The Yabloko party requires a criminal case against State Duma deputy Leonid Maevsky. Today, a statement on the initiation of a criminal case against this deputy accused by the Yablochiki of slander was sent to the Prosecutor General Vladimir Ustinov, Interfax reports.
We are talking about the performance of Maevsky on the air of the Echo of Moscow radio station, in which he actually accused the Yabloko and individual deputies of this party of ties with illegal gangs and terrorists. In addition, according to Maevsky, some of the participants in illegal formations are assistants to one of the “Yabloknik” deputies.
The Yabloko immediately called these statements a lie. The appeal to the Prosecutor General’s Office states that the information widespread by Maevsky in his speech at the “Echo of Moscow” defeats the honor and dignity of the leaders and members of “Yabloko”.
In addition, Yabloko insists on initiating a criminal case against the chief editor and journalist of the newspaper Life for the distribution of similar misinformation.
