There is no threat to the CEC of the Russian Federation in Moscow, the chairman of the Central Election Commission Alexander Veshnyakov told Interfax. He emphasized that the Central Election Commission and the Information Center "Elections of 2003" continue to work as usual.

Earlier, sources in law enforcement agencies told Interfax that an unknown person who called the police threatens an explosion in the Russian CEC premises.

It was reported that an anonymous call with the threat of an explosion arrived at about 21:20 Moscow time on Sunday.

The correspondent of Interfax reported that at the CEC building there were fighters of the engineering department, two fire brigades, an ambulance. Also, the movement on the street near the CEC building is completely blocked.
