Lawyer Leonid Nevzlin Dmitry Kharitonov sent a request to the Prosecutor General’s Office demanding to give him information or his client on the wanted list. Today for the second time ( the first was January 15), some “sources” informed news agencies that one of the largest shareholders of Yukos Leonid Nevzlin was put on the international wanted list. However, his lawyer has not yet received any official documents on this subject, although in such cases they must do this immediately. “No one officially notified us about the existing claims by law enforcement agencies,” said Lawyer Kharitonov.
“Sources” said today that on Friday evening, the necessary documents for the international wanted list were received by the National Bureau of Interpol from the Prosecutor General, and from there they were transferred to the General Secretariat of Interpol in Lyon. However, not one of the employees of the Prosecutor General and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who has a name, confirmed (and did not deny) this information. According to the Echo of Moscow , the Prosecutor General’s Office simply refuses to comment on it.
For the first time, the information that Nevzlin was put on the international wanted list appeared on January 15, after he announced the support of Irina Hakamada (which is difficult to consider as an accidental coincidence). The Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General said that they did not know anything about this. The next day, the Ministry of Internal Affairs specified that it was only on the federal wanted list, and then it turned out that it was not on the federal wanted list. All this is similar to the action of psychological pressure: for some reason, the Prosecutor General’s Office does not want to charge Nevzlin, but with the help of “sources” they shake nerves of nobly and pump tension in society.
