
The body of Vladimir Lenin will remain unchanged indefinitely - at least even more than a hundred years. This was announced in an interview with Interfax today, on the day of the 80th anniversary of the death of the proletarian leader, director of the research center of Biomedical technology (former laboratory under the Mausoleum of V.I. Lenin), head of the Mausoleum group Valery Bykov.
“We guarantee an indefinite long period for maintaining both the body of Lenin and his appearance,” said Bykov. He recalled that the mausoleum was closed from November 10, 2003, preventive work was carried out there. The body of Lenin is systematically examined, control and medical and preventive work is carried out, which guarantees body protection from physical, biological and other environmental factors.
The last examination of the body of Lenin showed: there are no signs of the fact that it can collapse, now, said Bykov. After the examination, the body was returned to the mausoleum, on the day of the anniversary, visitors will be able to see it.
