80 people will be fired from the State Duma apparatus

The State Duma apparatus will be reduced by more than 80 people, the speaker of the lower house of parliament Boris Gryzlov told reporters on Thursday after a meeting of the State Duma Council. “The device will work more effectively from this,” Gryzlov said.

Now the number of the device is 1.8 thousand people. When deciding to reduce the State Duma apparatus, priority was made in favor of the Duma factions apparatus and the central apparatus of the lower house of the parliament was reduced, RIA Novosti reports.

Gryzlov noted that due to the reduction of the apparatus, the State Duma budget will save about 7%on the salaries of employees. Alexander Lotorev will still be the head of the State Duma apparatus, the speaker noted.
