19 people died in an accident in Egypt

At least 19 people died, four were injured today as a result of a major accident in Egypt. Among the dead are five children under seven years old. This was announced by a representative in the country's Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to ITAR -TASS, a bus with tourists collided with a truck on a highway 190 km from the Egyptian capital - Cairo. The bus driver died, the driver of the truck was injured.

The accident occurred due to strong fog, which enveloped the highway Cairo Assyut.

The Russian Consulate General in Alexandria did not receive information about the Russians affected in this major accident. "The local authorities have not yet received reports of the injured Russian citizens," RIA Novosti told by phone an employee of the Russian Consulate General.

He added that such accidents are happening here almost every week.
