
In Nizhny Novgorod on Thursday, 10 thousand counterfeit CDs were destroyed for a total of about 1 million rubles, Interfax was told on Thursday in the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the Volga Federal District (PFD).
The CDs were seized by employees of the operational-search bureau for combating the economic and tax crimes of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the FFO from the premises of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Cinnodes Eligious Committee in the Soviet district of Nizhny Novgorod in October 2003.
In the premises of the enterprise, according to the press service, wholesale and retail sale of audio products was illegally carried out. During the control purchase, the investigators detained the video engineer of the enterprise, which implemented CDs, the press service noted.
By a court decision, the seized products were confiscated and destroyed using the T-80 tank, the press service said.
