In Iraq, a section of the oil pipeline south of the city of Samarra was blown up. According to the news agency of Saudi Arabia, a fire began as a result of the explosion, but the details of the incident are still unknown.
Recently, cases of undermining oil pipelines in Iraq have become more frequent. A day before the last incident in the same area near the city of Samarra, another section of the oil pipeline was blown up, RIA Novosti reports.
As a rule, there are no victims in such cases, but serious damage to the equipment is caused, which today is vital for Iraq. Oil exports are the main source of the country's income.
