Efim Fishtein , Prague: On Friday February 27, the head of the Japanese sect Aum Sinrika, Seko Asahara, was sentenced to death. On his conscience - an attack on the Tokyo metro neuro -paralytic gas "Zarin", during which 12 people died and 5 and a half thousand were injured.
Seko Asahara believed in the end of the world, rushed his parish and, finally, waited. This will be his personal, individual end of the world. The court sentenced him to death, but before that he himself sentenced dozens of Japanese to death-including 11 sector boys acting on his ideological tip and already collapsed "tower". The most difficult accusation was to prove the direct involvement of the self -proclaimed prophet in the crimes of his students. Judging by what tactics his defense chose, he himself did not want to die at all.
The worst and most incomprehensible to the mind is that with it, the readiness of young people probably will not die with him to believe the fanatics who leave themselves as prophets. Thousands of naive and seekers - and not necessarily the Japanese - were ready not only to him in the literal sense of the “to wash and drink water”, but also to kill and die for him. Aum Sinrika is prohibited and dissolved, but in its place another sect called Alef has already formed. Relatively recently, after the New York “Black September”, Japan realized that she had become a victim of regular terror, carried out, as always, under the mask of religious zeal and truth-use.
"Higher Truth" - this is what is translated into Russian means the name of the Aum Sinrika sect. The whole truth was reduced to the right to kill the innocent, and besides spilled blood, her guru did not leave any evangelical sermons after itself.
