Forecast for the coming days

In the last days of February, the weather in European Russia will remain warm, with precipitation in the form of sleet, and in the south, rain. This weather is caused by the southern transfer of air masses that established in the last week of the calendar winter. The incoming warm air collides with a colder air mass in the mid-latitudes, and this leads to an increase in frontal activity over central Russia, which is why there will be precipitation almost everywhere.

There is wet snow in the capital on February 27. Conditions for black ice, ice, icicles, maximum temperature 0...+2оС, south-east wind, 5--10 m/s. On February 28 and 29, the weather pattern will not change.

In St. Petersburg on February 27, there was mostly no precipitation, the daytime temperature was -1...-3°C. February 28 snow, slight blizzard, temperature at night and during the day -3...-5оС. On February 29, the weather pattern remained unchanged.

Weather and health

The geomagnetic background is expected to be calm these days. But as the southern cyclone moves into the center of European Russia, fluctuations in basic meteorological parameters and especially atmospheric pressure will be observed in the Central Federal District. The air will be humid, with a reduced oxygen content. Due to uncomfortable, windy, damp-cool weather, chronic diseases of the bronchi, lungs and musculoskeletal system can worsen. Windy and damp weather can exacerbate skin ailments.
