Three militants were destroyed and one was detained during a special operation in Chechnya. This was announced by RIA Novosti by the representative of the regional operational headquarters for managing a counter -terrorism operation in the North Caucasus Colonel Ilya Shabalkin.

"On Sunday, at about 10:30, a bandit group was revealed between the settlements of Shaami-Yurt and Hambi-Lze on which a fire blow was delivered. As a result, three bandits were destroyed, one was detained," Shabalkin said.

According to him, currently combined detachments of the federal forces are conducting search measures to identify the bandit groups in the vicinity of the Samashkinsky forest in the territory of the Achkhoy-Martan and Urus-Martan regions of Chechnya.

"Including the search for bandits who made the Branch of the GAZ -53 truck on February 25 of this year, as a result of which 6 civilians were killed, 8 were injured," Shabalkin said.
