| Another Antique Salon has opened On the eve of the March 8th holiday, it is recommended to visit the Central House of Artists and buy the ladies an elegant jewelry trinket. Or not a trinket, but a portrait painted with an energetic brush by Konstantin Makovsky. Or not a portrait, but a thoughtful landscape from the Levitan school.
Those who are richer will be able to ask the price of unique cars from the middle of the last century. In front of the entrance to the Central House of Artists is a collection of classic cars in excellent condition, from Mercedes to Jaguar.
Non-commercial dishes have been prepared for aesthetes: lighting fixtures from manorial estates from the Ostankino Palace Museum, the photo archive exhibition “St. Petersburg Feasts”, as well as the exhibition “Sports in Painting of the 30s-70s”.
There is a lot of everything, everything is rich. But my fellow critics and I named several mysterious bucolic pictures “... from the eleventh century” as the most intriguing exhibits of the Antique Salon. Strangely, they are found at the stands of various galleries and salons. Curly sheep on the lawn nibble the grass, and roosters and hens wander among them. Very rare iconography! And the top list of the Antique Salon opens with the work of the Dutch artist Arl Ketting de Koningh “Canal Farm”. Sergey VALERIEV |
