The first lawsuit about the death in Transvaal Park is satisfied

The Cheremushkinsky court of Moscow on Monday sentenced to 1.5 years in prison Elena Yudaev, an instructor of Transvaal Park . The court found her guilty of causing death by negligence, due to improper performance of his professional duties.

As reported in court, "if, during the conditional deadline appointed by the court, Yudaev commits more than two administrative violations, she faces a real punishment in the form of imprisonment in the colony."

On November 15, 2002, Valery Saprykin died during rest in the water park. As the forensic medical examination showed, his death occurred as a result of a spinal fracture. In addition, experts found that Saprykin was while leisure in the water park at a state of intoxication, ITAR-TASS reports.

The instructor Yudaeva was charged under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Yudaeva’s duties, in particular, included visitors' control at one of the attractions of the water park. Thus, as stated in the case file, Yudaeva did not notice that Saprykin was intoxicated while skiing on the water hill.

In addition, the court’s decision today satisfied the civil lawsuit of the family of the deceased against the owner of the water park - European Technologies in the amount of 250 thousand rubles.

For their part, the lawyers of the defendant and representatives of the civil defendant consider today's sentence illegal and intend to appeal him to higher authorities.
