Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov signed a decision on the indexation of pensions on Monday from April 1 . This was announced at a meeting of President Vladimir Putin with members of the government, Minister of Health and Social Development Mikhail Zurabov.

In turn, Putin instructed the head of the government "questions of such a nature to keep under constant control, regardless of any reorganization."

In response, Zurabov assured the president that his ministry, despite the difficult time for the government, "constantly keeps a number of current issues in the field of view, in particular everything related to the dynamics of wage arrears."

Earlier, Zurabov said that the average increase in pensions that will affect all pensioners will be 121 rubles, and for old -age pensioners, the number of which is 29.3 million people, the increase will be 135 rubles.

A total of 38 million pensioners in Russia, of which 29.3 million are old -age pensioners.
