Israel and the United States have reached a fundamental agreement on the support of the Americans nominated by Prime Minister Ariel Sharon a unilateral department from the Palestinians. This is reported on Wednesday by Israeli radio with reference "to circles in Washington close to negotiations between the two countries."
According to available information, US President George Bush intends to support this program as an “intermediate step” to the implementation of the provisions of international intermediaries developed by four (USA, Russia, the European Union and the UN) of the Roadmap plan.
The agreement, reached the other day at the negotiations of the American emissaries with the Israeli prime minister in his office in Jerusalem, should be finally fixed during the Jaron's visit to the United States on April 14, ITAR-TASS reports.
The program of the one -sided compartment involves the complete withdrawal of settlements from the gas sector, as well as the evacuation of four settlements from the west coast of the Jordan. The date of the beginning of its implementation has not yet been officially determined.
Earlier, Israel and the United States managed to reach a preliminary agreement on the implementation of the settlement withdrawal program from the Gaza Strip, which is part of the concept of a one -way department proposed by Ariel Sharon.
During the negotiations, Washington promised not to oppose the construction of sections of the dividing wall east of the Green Line on the western coast of the Jordan, and also not to support the right to return the Palestinian refugees to the houses located in Israel.
However, support for the construction of the dividing wall with Israel will not be included in the so -called "warranty letter" by the United States in exchange for the implementation of the plan of the unilateral branch.
