“This is tactics - to keep the defendants longer at large,” explains Lyudmila Tikhomirova, the only defender of the victims, Rostov lawyer. It represents the interests of several dozen orphans at once, which remained after that execution, widows, mothers, sisters of the dead. Formally, the lawyers of the victims have two more-the famous Abdula Khamzaev and Magomet Gandaur-Egi, a lawyer from Ingushetia. Khamzaev was sick for a long time. The traces of the Ingush lawyer were completely lost without explanation.

Most of the time at the meetings of Tikhomirov, however, is silent. This is striking - like an obvious imbalance between the landing, serving the executioners and the lonely Lyudmila Anatolyevna. “We were very lucky that we have such state prosecutors and a judge,” says Koka Tuburova, the sister of the deceased Khamzat Tuburov. The prosecutors took us under their defense. Ask all the necessary questions. And so sharp ...

In fact, today they provide a real court by honor. What we were so wealthy from is an honest court. In addition, in the absence of an officer court, the honor - none of the Shata executioners were fired in the breast, only awarded, which encouraged the actions of death squads for Chechnya. In the army, as you know, the discussion is not released-and in the trial in Rostov its echoes-that “ours” behaved in Chechnya according to the laws of wartime, and now they are judged by the laws of peace, and therefore the military who committed crimes-the real “sacrifices” ... Every time (before the current court in Rostov), ​​the state prosecutors performed precisely with this ideological platform. And for the first time, military prosecutors who put everything on legal places take under the protection of the state of true sacrifices, the civilian population, who turned out to be hostages of military anarchy. And not their executioners.
