
More than two hundred masterpieces of the great Russian master Karl Faberge were delivered today to the Moscow Kremlin, ITAR-TASS reports. In the Patriarchal Palace of the Kremlin, on Tuesday, an exhibition of creations of the famous jeweler, acquired by Russian entrepreneur Viktor Vekselberg at the Sotheby`s auction, opens.
Now employees of the Kremlin Museum and the Communications of the times founded by the Vekselberg of the Exposition installation of the exposition. Nine Easter eggs belonging to the imperial surname are considered her pearl.
They were created in St. Petersburg by order of Alexander III and Nicholas II in the period from 1885 to 1916.
The collection was delivered to Moscow from New York on May 7. After all the necessary procedures at the central excise customs, she was transported to the central storage of Sberbank, from where the masterpieces in compliance with special precautions were taken to the Kremlin.
The official opening of the exhibition "Faberge: Lost and acquired" will be held on May 18. After July 25, this unique meeting will go on a trip to Russia: Faberge masterpieces will be seen by residents of St. Petersburg, Irkutsk, Yekaterinburg and other cities of the country.
Victor Vekselberg acquired the collection on February 4, 2004 from the heirs of the family of the American media Magnate Malcolm Forbes.
