American minister came to Russia for scarce oil

Spencer Abraham, Minister of Energy of the United States, arrived in Moscow, who is going to convince Russian oil industry workers to export “black gold”, as well as liquefied natural gas in the United States, where gas prices have risen to historical maximums and horrifying ordinary motorists.

On Thursday, Abraham met with Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov, Minister of Industry and Energy Viktor Khristenko and the head of the Federal Agency for Atomic Energy Alexander Rumyantsev.

On Friday, Abraham meets with oil workers and gas workers. According to Interfax, he will discuss the possibility of supplying energy from Russia to the United States with the leadership of Gazprom, Lukoil and Transneft.

The Minister of Energy himself said that he would discuss with the head of Gazprom Alexei Miller, the possibility of supplies of liquefied natural gas to the United States. Now the “demand exceeds the proposal”, and “the USA needs to increase the supply of liquefied natural gas,” the minister admitted.

With the head of Transneft, the American minister intends to discuss the possibility of increasing oil supplies to the United States. He called the Baltic pipeline system an important element of increasing energy exports in the United States.

The US Minister of Energy also noted that at his meeting on Thursday with the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Fradkov, he noticed interest from the head of the Russian government regarding the increase in Russian energy supplies to the United States.

According to him, Russia can become the main supplier of liquefied natural gas to the world market. “There is a significant increase in gas demand. At the same time, there are countries with the huge potential of its production. This is Russia, Australia, Qatar,” the minister stated. “Russia can be the main player in this market.”
