The famous French movie star Brigitte Bardo for racist statements will have to pay a fine of five thousand euros. Such a decision was made on Thursday by the Criminal Court of Paris, RIA Novosti reports.
The reason for the trial was the Bardo Bardo book in Silence, published by Rocher Publishing House in May 2003.
Two non -governmental organizations - the movement against racism and for friendship between the peoples, as well as the human protection league found that some "passages" of the books contain racist statements directed against immigrants.
The court supported the charges and sentenced the BB, as it is usually called in France, to a fine of five thousand euros. In addition, the bardo will have to pay symbolic compensation in the amount of one euro to each of the plaintiffs and pay for the publication of the judicial verdict in two newspapers.
Roche Publishing House is also sentenced to a fine of five thousand euros.
