On Pushkinskaya Square Moscow, a rally was held against the abolition of benefits and social guarantees, "the correspondent of Newsru.com reports.

More than a thousand people gathered in the square under numerous posters and flags, mainly people of middle and elderly. The posters and banners showed “the benefits would be taken first, then they would take life ...”, “The cancellation of benefits is the dispossession of the poor”, “You climb into the wrong pockets!”, “President, do not finish the elderly!”, “Killed the children in the army, deprive the benefits of their mothers!”

Representatives of trade unions, Chernobyls, human rights activists participate in the action, the flags of the Yabloko parties and the Communist Party are visible. On Pushkinskaya Square there are many representatives of law enforcement agencies, but the police are located around the perimeter of the area and do not interfere with what is happening.

Speakers from the stands talked a lot about the fact that the benefits in case of replacement of their cash payments in a year and a half will be eaten by inflation. The speakers turned to the people with the slogans: "If the government does not fulfill its promises, we do not need such a government!"

Along the perimeter, hot debate arose between representatives of different political views, including different generations. From the issue of benefits, disputes quickly went into the field of such issues as, for example, who was right - “red” or “white”, whether the repressions of the 30s were justified, etc.
