Mufti of Ingushetia resigned

The Mufti of Ingushetia Magomed Albogachiev announced the day before at a meeting of the imams of the republic that he leaves his post. He explained this step with his disagreement with the policy of President Zyazikov, during the raid of the militants on June 22, on the tide of "showing complete inability to manage the situation and take responsibility," the newspaper reports.

“The tragic events that occurred on the night of June 21 to 22 showed the actual collapse of the management system and the inability of the leadership of the republic to ensure the safety of people,” Magomed Albogachiev explained in his appeal to believers. “However, even the death of dozens of the best representatives of our people did not rely the power bodies of the republic.”

“Not a single official took responsibility for what had happened and did not get the courage to leave his post. Moreover, instead of the analysis of the incident, the authorities began to find out relations with those who disagree with their position,” the publication quoted the words of the spiritual leader of Ingushetia.

Meanwhile, on the streets and mosques of Ingushetia, much more radical criticism of Murat Zyazikov sounds much more than the one that the former mufti expressed. According to Gazeta, two days ago a meeting of the president of Ingushetia with the elders of the republic took place. According to some reports, the elders expressed their indignation that Zyazikov allegedly rescued for some time in North Ossetia, not risking to stay in the new capital of Ingushetia Magas. “It would be better if a man died in battle than to cowardly hide,” such words addressed to Zyazikov can now be heard everywhere in Ingushetia.

However, as the newspaper notes, the version is not excluded, according to which the sharp statements of the Mufti Albogachieva and the resignation followed are explained not so much by his dissatisfaction with Zyazikov’s policy, but by considerations of his own security.

As it became known to the "Gazeta", during a raid on the name on June 22, Albogachiev was not at home, but the militants took the keys to the Mercedes-600 from his wife, drove him out of town and burned him. So the departure of the mufti from affairs may be connected with his unwillingness to get into the next “shot list” of militants.

Meanwhile, Deputy Head of the Council of the Russian Council, Marat Murtazin, told Gazeta that Albogachiev "lost the obligations that were assigned to him." In addition, Murtazin added, "religious figures should not give a negative assessment of the activities of the authorities." As for Murat Zyazikov, he did not react to criticism from the mufti.

On July 6, at a press conference in Moscow, he bypassed Magomeda Albogachiyev in silence, limiting himself to only a foggy phrase that it is necessary to "clarify the public, who is who, not only on scientific, but also on a household basis."

Meanwhile, as the site of Ingushetia.ru said on the eve, "Magomed-Haji Albogachiev responded to the refusal of the Imam's requests not to leave the post of mufti of the republic."

According to the "newspaper", a former philologist, a graduate of the Algerian Islamic University, Isa Sychuev, should replace the rebellious mufti. Meanwhile, the site of Ingushetia.ru announced the day before that "Isa Khamkhoev, born in 1962, who had previously held the post of deputy mufti," was appointed acting Mufti of Ingushetia. " At the same time, it was noted that "Magomed-Haji Albogachiev responded with a refusal to the requests of the imams not to leave the mufti of the republic."
