Hurricane destroyed 40% of crops in the Brest region of Belarus

Several regions of Belarus suffered from a hurricane that passed over the republic on the night of Saturday. This was reported to reporters by the governor of the Bryansk region Konstantin Sumar.

He stated that about 40% of all crops were destroyed in the Brest region of Belarus. In addition, about 500 hectares of forest were destroyed in the Pruzhansky district of the Brest region.

According to preliminary estimates, the damage caused by the elements is about 1 billion Belarusian rubles (more than $ 0.5 million).

According to the Ministry of Emergencies, as a result of the hurricane, the dead are not registered. Several victims were provided with medical care, reports Interfax.
