Kahu Bendukidze was spent on demonstrators

About 200 people gathered on Tuesday for a rally near the building of the Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia, protesting against the privatization process declared by the Minister of Economics.

During the promotion, the protesters blocked a car in which Kakha Bendukidze drove up to the building, RIA Novosti reports.

The participants in the action for about half an hour kept the minister’s car surrounded, swinging it. Bendukidze tried to calm the protesters and went to them. However, the protesters pushed the minister, and several people spat on him. After that, the minister left the territory of the ministry.

“I considered it necessary to go out to people, and they began to hooligate, spat,” complained to reporters Bendukidze.

Answering the question why he left the ministry, the minister said: "The police were not able to stop the people."

Bendukidze noted that the Ministry of Economic Development will not respond to what is happening.

“The Ministry of the Interior should do this,” he believes. The minister also said that "the rally participants are paid for participating in it."

The protest was organized by supporters of the former President of Georgia Zviad Gamsakhurdia. Representatives of the Party of National Independence of Georgia and Labor also took part in it.

Participants in the action in their speeches sharply criticized the privatization plans of the department led by Bendukidz.

“Everything that they want to sell in Georgia belongs to the Georgian people, and even if you have to sacrifice their lives, we will not allow this,” said Joseph Chateberashvili, in particular, the representative of the Labor Party.

Promotions like today, supporters of the former President of Georgia Gamsakhurdia, led by his widow Manana Archvadze-Gamsakhurdia, have been holding around the Ministry for several days in a row. However, until now, rallies have been few and were peaceful.
