None of the Russians - future participants in the Olympiad - found signs of doping. According to Interfax, the director of the National Anti-Doping Center Vitaly Semenov reported on Wednesday at the Interfax, at a press conference in Moscow.

"Our center, which began to work on the eve of the 1980 Moscow Olympics, tested this year more than two thousand people, including analyzed biopics taken from 140 athletes of the CIS and European countries," he said. Semenov emphasized that the center is able to increase its performance almost four times, but so far there is no need.

According to him, without exception, all athletes entering the Russian Olympic team successfully passed testing, until anyone had a positive reaction to detect traces of doping.

Semenov emphasized that the corresponding inspections on the technology of the World Anti-Doping Agency (Vada) athletes-Olympians are constantly held, both in educational mode and during the competition. In addition, in Athens, where the 2004 Olympics will be held, the same equipment is installed as in the Russian National Anti-Doping Center.

"In this regard, we believe that there will be no unpleasant surprises for our athletes at the Olympics," Semenov said.
