A landmine exploded in Grozny

A high-capacity mine exploded on Monday in the Leninsky district of Grozny. As Interfax was told in the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic, an unidentified explosive device went off on Tukhachevsky Street not far from the dental clinic, Gazeta.Ru reports.

The land mine was planted on the side of the road. According to law enforcement agencies, there are no victims or injured.

The press service emphasized that at the time of the explosion, not a single car was passing along Tukhachevsky Street in the incident zone. According to representatives of the investigation, the militants planted a landmine in order to set it into action at the time of the passage of one of the officials or law enforcement officers, but for unknown reasons it did not work on time.
