Two special forces were killed in Grozny

Two soldiers of the special forces battalion "West" were killed on Tuesday night in Grozny.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic, two unknown people unknown in camouflage uniforms on the Zenitite Street of the Staropromyslovsky district and in masks penetrated the house of military personnel of the Hasiyevs battalion and shot them from small arms.

The senior technician of the West battalion, ensign Ismail Khasiev and Private Imran Khasiev, died from the wounds received at the scene. Two Kalashnikov assault rifles and Makarov’s pistol were stolen from the scene of the incident, Interfax reports.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs recalled that last Friday in the center of Grozny, on Tamanskaya Street, as a result of the attacks committed by the bandits , the chief of staff of the West battalion was killed , and several more people were injured.

Currently, operational investigative measures are being held in order to establish and detain persons involved in this incident.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs noted that the military personnel of the West battalion take an active part in the fight against illegal armed groups in the western part of the Chechen Republic.

Many military personnel from this unit were awarded high government awards. The battalion commander Said-Magomed Kakiev is the hero of Russia.
