Motor show: tea, in layouts

The 2004 Motor Show, which will be held from August 25 to 29 in the Moscow Expocenter, is called international, but with the Moscow car dealership it is only possible for the price of ticket tickets. And annual parking problems.

Ambulance, and besides, a leap year promises a little interesting to the Moscow viewer. Large world car conheres (such as Volkswagen or Ford) make Moscow only by odd years, and dealers will present their products. The dealers are pre -production, and even more so conceptual, do not have cars. This means that the world prime ministers, which were on Presnya last year, should not be expected.

Rented to the serial (promised in November 2004) production VAZ "Kalina", but this does not mean that in Moscow it will be shown for the last time. This year we will look at several versions of the 1118 sedan and even see it in the context, and the hatchback and the station wagon in the series are not yet going - you can bring it to the next salon.

The 2170 project this year will grow a hatchback 2172, but this is a more thing. The only real new vase will be 2116 - judging by the sketches, the next variation on the topic "dozens", but hardly something more than the layout.

In general, the layout is in our opinion. If, in the customs of the world auto show, to represent new models that are about to go into the series and show promising conceptual developments, then the domestic auto industry has its own strategy.

First, the exhibition shows a layout. This is the pinnacle of designer thought, it’s hard to say something about engineering: even the doors sometimes do not open. After a year or two, the layout is transformed into a prototype, which even travels, but very secretive. Some other years 5-7-and can be launched into serial production.

And well, if so. The project of the "New Classics"-VAZ-2151, with a pomp, presented in 2002 to the motor show, remained a layout, which will probably be found in the Museum of AvtoVAZ. A little better with Oka-2. At the 2003 car dealership there was a layout, a prototype will be brought to the motor show-show-you see, by 2005 we will see something pre-production with the Melitopol engine.

The vase, of course, will be a lot of a motor show, but it is not the only one. Another Volzhsky Automobile Plant - Gas - adheres to the Prutkovsky principle "better say little, but good." Again - the restyling of the Volga, again - "battalion commander", again - "SUV" 3106. We will look for the ingenious in detail.

I do not dare to call the Izhevsk station wagon to the Izhevsk station wagon : put on the conveyor in March, the presentation was held in June, in August it is freely sold. Maybe Izh-Auto will at least show an all-wheel drive “plot” ? Our plants (except for the low -wheelbarrow "ten" 4x4) are not made of all -wheel drive station wagons.

All layouts are preliminary: maybe they will scrape through the susks and remove something unprecedented and unheard of. But UAZ will not extract and show. There will simply be no Ulyanovsk stand. And this is perhaps a more sensational prime minister than everyone else combined. From now on, UAZ does not participate in the "local motor shows", but only in the "international level car dealerships". Such is the official position of the owner of the UAZ-"Severstal-Auto". Although in 2002, when the previous motor show took place, the UAZ, apparently, was not one of the "large world car conheres" and the exposition was. But years are going, exports are growing, profit too. However, the decision is reasonable - in fact, there is nothing to show UAZ this year. The "hunter" has already been launched, but there are no new products yet.

If Europeans, Americans and UAZ on the "local engine show" with a foot, then Koreans-please both. For them, the conditionality of status is not the main thing, the main thing is to win the market. Kia will bring Picanto to Moscow - the "classmate" of the popular Hyundai Getz. It is highly likely that the second generation of the Kia Sportage light SUV will also be presented in the ex -center. SUVs will try to surprise Hyundai. For the first time shown in the spring in Chicago Tuscan, when compared with Russian exhibits, a very fresh model. Well, if the updated Terracan gets, then it will be a world premiere, since his official photographs are published only a couple of weeks ago.

For world premieres this year it is better to go to St. Petersburg. In the even years, the Auto+Auto Mechanics exhibition is lucky: it passes after the Parisian Auto Show, and many Parisian premieres can be seen on the Neva shores after some two to three weeks.
