Putin stands for the speedy holding of parliamentary elections in Chechnya

“I agree, I’m ready to support. This is reasonable. But these elections will need to be prepared with the newly elected President of Chechnya,” Putin emphasized.

Veshnyakov told the president that next week he plans to invite the head of the election commission of Chechnya and acting to Moscow The President of Chechnya, in order to discuss with them all issues of preparation for the elections, reports Interfax.

The head of the CEC emphasized that the leadership of Chechnya, "although it did not have international obligations on this score,, of their own free will, invited observers from the CIS, the League of the Arab states, the Islamic Conference and the OSCE."

According to Veshnyakov, "almost all these organizations responded to invitations, and about 20-30 people will watch the elections."
