According to the press conference on Monday, General Director of the State Unitary Enterprise "Gormost" Viktor Ekimov, "the system is already installed and is in the operating mode." The system will begin to work, "as soon as the legal framework is introduced."

In addition, according to Ekimov, it is necessary to resolve issues of a legal nature, Interfax reports.

"Accidents in the Lefortovo tunnel occur almost every day. The reason is the inattention of drivers, exceeding the speed limit, frequent maneuvering in lanes," Ekimov noted.

Experts expect that after the commissioning of the video surveillance system will reduce the number of traffic accidents in this section of the third transport ring.
