Babitsky replaced the arrest for a fine

On Saturday, the Solntsevsky court of Moscow released from the arrest of Radio Liberty journalist Andrei Babitsky, accused of petty hooliganism, lawyer Vladimir Artemov told RIA Novosti.

Meanwhile, in the complaint against the decision of the justice of the peace, the defense asked the court to terminate the case due to the lack of the composition of the offense in the actions of the journalist. “After receiving the decision of the Solntsevsky court, we will appeal this decision,” the defender added.

Babitsky was detained in the building of the Vnukovo Airport on September 2, as reported, "for obscene abuse in a public place." On that day, he was going to fly to Beslan through the Ministry of Walls to cover events. However, when inspection of things, the dog hand -dog reacted to the contents of its bag.

The airport employees invited him to undergo an additional check, but there was nothing illegal in the journalist’s things. According to the lawyer, after inspection, two airport employees approached Babitsky, as a result there was a conflict accompanied by obscene abuse.

To clarify all the circumstances, three violators were taken to the police department and drew up a protocol on an administrative offense.

On September 3, the World Court of the Solntsevsky District of Moscow arrested a journalist for an administrative offense for five days.

The journalist himself, as well as the editors of Radio "Freedom" believe that the incident was adjusted in order to prevent Babitsky in Beslan, where at that moment the siege of the captured school continued.
