Mayor of Moscow Luzhkov: In the capital "Any pimple rides with a miletic"

Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov proposed to even more limit the number of officials entitled to use flashing beacons.

With such an initiative, Luzhkov decided to turn to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Speaking on Tuesday at a meeting of the city government, he asked the question: "Why do we have so many of these very flashing beacons? Any pimple rides with a miletic."

According to Luzhkov, "permits for the installation of" migals "should be issued by those bodies that are responsible for the movement of transport." In his opinion, the number of persons entitled to use the flashing lights must be "brought to two or three," Interfax reports.

"A large number of cars with" flashing lights "on the streets are irritated by drivers and sharply complicates the transport situation in Moscow," the mayor said.

At the same time, the head of the Moscow Central Internal Affairs Directorate, Vladimir Pronin, recalled that the letter to the minister was already written. “And we will write, but there will be little benefit from this,” he said. “When the deputies and a number of ministers were on vacation, there were no traffic jams in Moscow at all,” Pronin added.
