In the Central District Novoselitsky hospital, on Monday, 11 students of the school N 3 of the village of Novoselitsky were hospitalized on Monday.
“One of the patients died. Three more are in serious condition, but two of them have a positive speaker,” Balaban said.
According to preliminary data, the victims were poisoned by bleached, Balaban noted. With similar symptoms, 13 more teenagers in the Shpakovsky district were hospitalized. Two of them - the most difficult - were hospitalized in the Stavropol Territory Clinical Hospital, Interfax reports.
“According to preliminary data, these children were also poisoned by bleached,” Balaban said. She also suggested that teenagers could smoke this grass.
Durman-grass (Belen) Belongs to the nightshade family. The poisonous beginning in these plants is considered atropine and scopolamine, which block parasympathetic nerves. The whole plant is considered to be poisonous. Belen poisoning is possible either when using young sweet sprouts (April-May), or when eating seeds.
Symptoms of poisoning
With mild poisoning, dry mouth, speech disorder and swallowing, expanding the pupils and impaired near vision, photophobia, dryness and redness of the skin, excitement, sometimes nonsense and hallucinations, tachycardia. With severe poisoning, there is a complete loss of orientation, a sharp motor and mental arousal, sometimes convulsions with the subsequent loss of consciousness and the development of a coma.
A sharp increase in body temperature, cyanosis (blue) of the mucous membranes, shortness of breath with the appearance of periodic breathing such as Cheyn-Koks, the pulse is wrong, weak, a drop in blood pressure. Death occurs with phenomena of paralysis of the respiratory center and vascular failure. A specific complication of atropine poisoning is trophic disorders - significant edema of the subcutaneous tissue of the face, in the region of the forearm and legs.
