In the Brazilian Amazon, not far from the border with Peru and Bolivia, new geoglyphs were found - giant ground -based drawings, which can only be seen from a great height. Such a statement made a scientist of the Federal University of Akreu Ranzi in the port-vehicle, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the Estado agency.

According to the scientist, the geoglyphs found by him can be equal to the significance of drawings in the NASKOV desert in Peru . In any case, they are not inferior to them in area - the length of one side of the drawing is several hundred meters.

But, unlike the Peruvian drawings, the Brazilian geoglyphs depict not birds and animals, but geometric objects - circles, squares and octahedrals.

The images were literally dug up in the ground, said Razi. According to him, the study of geoglyphs in Amazon is difficult in one circumstance - they are completely covered with vegetation.

"They can be significantly ancient selva that covered them and can become clearly visible only after cutting the vegetation," the scientist says.

Currently, a ram is collecting funds for equipment of a large expedition, which will open the veil of secrets of ground drawings in South America.
