Muhamed Kilba was appointed new Minister of Defense of Abkhazia. On Monday, a source in the government of the republic said this "Interfax" about this. Earlier, the post of Minister of Defense of Abkhazia was held by Vyacheslav Ashba.

Mukhamed Kilba during the election campaign for the president of the republic took an active part in the work of the headquarters of the candidate Raul Hadjimby.

Recall that the situation in Abkhazia after the presidential election on October 3 remains tense. Abkhazia presidential candidate Raul Khadimba does not recognize the victory in the election of opposition candidate Sergei Bagapsha and insists on holding a repeated election.

Most of the Abkhaz Parliament and the Security Council of the republic are opposed to this.

Recently, Sergei Bagapsh met with Hadjimbo and suggested as a compromise solution to the problem to appoint him to a high state post. According to the Government of Abkhazia, Khadimba has not yet accepted an offer.
