Information about the claims to Sibneft in the amount of 21 billion rubles led to the collapse of the company's shares

Around the Sibneft oil company, events similar to the fact that the Federal Tax Service previously created around other large oil companies in Russia begins to develop.

On the eve of November 17, the first messages appeared with reference to an anonymous source in the State Duma Committee on Security that the oil company Roman Abramovich had claimed a sum of 21 billion rubles . These data were transmitted by Interfax.

Then the refutation of this information followed. Gennady Gudkov, a member of the State Duma Committee on Security, said in an interview with NTV that all these messages are “duck”. The theme of the Sibneft taxes allegedly did not discuss either officially or even on the sidelines. " But the refutation of the deputy Gudkov did not interfere with the current collapse of the Sibneft shares. According to ITAR-TASS, immediately after the opening of trading at the Sibneft MICEX, it fell by 8%.

However, on Thursday at about 13:00, Interfax agency, citing a source in the tax authorities, again transmitted information that the Sibneft oil company has been presented for 2000 and 2001 in the amount of 21 billion rubles. According to the source, the decision to bring to tax liability for 2000-2001 was awarded to the company on Wednesday. "The audit act was awarded for a long time, all this time objections have been considered," the agency’s interlocutor noted.

The official representatives of Sibneft do not comment on this information.

Note that now the activities of Russian oil companies in 2001 are checked by the Federal Tax Service. On November 11, it became known that employees of the tax authorities began on -site inspections of Slavneft, Rosneft, Sibneft and Tatneft. 2001 was the last when tax benefits for closed administrative-territorial entities operated, and, according to tax authorities, many oil companies used them to minimize taxes. The claims were made only by TNK-BP, but they were settled in a pre-trial manner.
