The Chairman of the Spiritual Directorate of the Volga region Mukaddas Bibars criticized the confessional policy of television and, in particular, the Channel One. In his opinion, she is anti -Islamic.

Bibarsov spoke about this at the ceremony of signing an annual agreement on public harmony concluded by the heads of traditional faiths of the Saratov region, public organizations, political parties and authorities. The initiator of this agreement is the regional administration; The contract was joined by the Saratov diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church , the spiritual department of Muslims of the Volga region, the religious Jewish community of Saratov and other largest religious associations of the region, the Blagovers-Info reports.

Expressing claims to the first channel, the head of the Volga Muslims, in particular, noted the program "Times" by Vladimir Pozner, aired on November 14, when the Muslims celebrated Uraza-Bayram .

The program was talking about unrest in the Netherlands, the reason for which was the murder of Islamic extremists of the Dutch director, Theo Van Gogh, who shot the film "Submissibility" about violence in Muslim families. Vladimir Pozner and his interlocutors reasoned in the program about whether Islamic extremists were able to provoke the Third World War between Islamic and Western civilizations, and whether this process can be compared with the destruction of the barbarians of the Roman Empire.

Mukaddas Bibars noted that a lot is being done in the regions for the consolidation of society, but there are groups that are not interested in this and nullify this process using television. According to him, the programs are like "times", which have been on Russian television recently quite a lot, work for the collapse of the country. Mufti emphasized that the Muslims are the indigenous population of Russia, they, together with the Orthodox, defended the interests of their homeland, including on the battlefields. As he assures, there is no talk of any consent in society, when a whole layer of Russian citizens - Muslims - is subjected to "such diplomation" from the television screen.

Mukaddas Bibars urged the audience not to turn the contract into an empty formality, noting that tolerance must be educated. According to him, intolerance to Muslims, which appears as a result of "such programs", is not only their problem; It should be considered in the aspect of the integrity of the state.
