Muscovites with income below the subsistence minimum are becoming less and less

The population with income below the subsistence level this year in Moscow decreased by more than 7%. As Interfax was told on Friday in the press service of the first deputy mayor in the government of the capital of Yuri Roslyak, according to the results of nine months of this year in Moscow, compared with the same period of the past, the average monthly wage increased by 21.9% with inflation at about 10%.

Speaking about other results of the current year, the press service noted that the growth of industrial production in 10 months of 2004 in Moscow amounted to more than 8%, the volume of investment in fixed assets increased by almost 9%, the retail trade turnover increased by more than 8%. In January-September of this year, the gross regional product in Moscow increased by about 8.3%.

By the end of this year, 4.5 million square meters will be commissioned in the city. meters of residential buildings. “This will allow you to send the planned 400 thousand square meters to the solution of citywide social problems,” the press service noted.
