In the center and north of European Russia on Thursday, a low background of atmospheric pressure will remain, so snow will still fall in the northwestern regions at daytime temperatures of -1...-6°C, and in the central regions, where 0...- 6oC. On Friday, a new atmospheric front will approach from the west, which will cause light precipitation in the north-west of the European territory of Russia, and it will again become warmer, -3...+2оС. In the central regions, where northern currents will prevail, on the contrary, the temperature will drop to -10°C at night and to -3...-8°C during the day, with light snow in places.

In the capital there is snow, sleet, temperature 0...-2оС, western wind, 5--10 m/s. Conditions for black ice and icicles.

In St. Petersburg there is light snow at night, mostly rainless during the day, temperatures at night are -3...-5оС, during the day -1...-3оС.

Weather and health

In the north-west and center of the European territory of Russia, uncomfortable humid, damp weather with a low oxygen content in the air and fluctuations in atmospheric pressure is unfavorable for most people. It is especially difficult for children and elderly people to endure such weather, and even practically healthy people will not have it easy. Malaise and deterioration of health are not excluded in people with chronic oxygen deficiency; they may experience shortness of breath and a feeling of lack of oxygen. This weather, combined with a turbulent geomagnetic background on December 9, will also be unfavorable for people with cardiovascular diseases.
