| The prosecutor's office found a friend of the organizer of the explosion at Rizhskaya As part of the investigation into the terrorist attack near the Rizhskaya metro station, the Moscow prosecutor's office detained Murat Shavaev, a leading specialist from the department of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation. According to investigators, the official maintained close relations with Nikolai Kipkeev, a terrorist who accompanied a female suicide bomber to the metro station and died during the explosion.
Immediately after the explosion at Rizhskaya, in addition to the body of the female suicide bomber (she is still unidentified), six dead were discovered, one of whom had a passport in the name of Nikolai Samygin. No one came for the body, and then investigators took fingerprints from the corpse. As a result, it turned out that the passport in the name of Samygin was used by Nikolai Kipkeev, whom the special services had been hunting for for more than five years. Back in 1997, he joined the “Muslim Society No. 3” located in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic (KCR). The imam of this society was Achemez Gochiyaev, who later organized the explosions of residential buildings in Moscow and Volgodonsk. In 1999, Kipkeev underwent mine-explosive training in one of Khattab’s camps, then fought with federal forces as part of the “Karachai battalion” and was part of Gochiyaev’s personal guard. According to intelligence services, in March 2001, Kipkeev, together with Gochiyaev, organized a series of terrorist attacks in Minvody, Essentuki and the village of Adyge-Khabl (KCR). Soon after this, operatives got on the trail of the militants hiding in the village of Ordzhonikidzevsky, Karachay district, and set up an ambush. But Kipkeev, Gochiyaev and several of their accomplices opened fire on the policemen with a heavy machine gun, threw grenades at them and calmly went into the mountains.
According to intelligence services, soon after this Kipkeev and Gochiyaev left for Georgia, where they lived in the Pankisi Gorge. In January of this year, Kipkeev somewhere received a real Russian passport in the name of Nikolai Samygin and returned to Russia. As operatives suspect, the terrorist was supposed to track how the suicide bomber descended into the subway, but her nerves could not stand it, and she detonated the bomb earlier.
Kipkeev was found to have a mobile phone on him. Having printed out the numbers of all the subscribers with whom he had spoken recently, the detectives found the leading specialist of the Ministry of Justice department, Murat Shavaev. Moreover, they were able to establish that the terrorist lived for some time in an apartment on Architect Vlasov Street, which was rented by an official. As a result, on December 14, operatives of the Moscow Organized Crime Control Department and the FSB Directorate came to Shavaev with a search. There was another person in the apartment at that moment. When he was checked, it turned out that the guest of the Ministry of Justice specialist was a certain Thakanov, who was wanted for an attack on Nazran on the night of June 22, 2004.
It is known about Murat Shavaev himself that he was born in 1975 in Nalchik, and three years ago he moved to Moscow, where he got a job at the Ministry of Justice. According to operatives, it is difficult to prove his involvement in terrorist attacks. An official can always say that he gave shelter to acquaintances without knowing about their criminal activities. According to our information, Shavaev was detained for 48 hours, and so far there is no question of his arrest.
