29 signatures under the letter of protest of Altai journalists belong to employees of the state television.

For a comment, Novaya turned to Natalya PITAKHINA, a special correspondent for the GTRK Altai, the author and host of the regional issue of the Vesti + program.

- I put my signature and said to myself: there will be no materials against Ryzhkov in my program - or I will simply leave. This is a moral choice in this situation.

After all, what is happening? They cannot recall an independent deputy, they are trying to create a situation so that he himself declares that it is time for him to leave. There is a small group of people standing on the street, holding posters: “Who are you with, Vladimir Ryzhkov?”, next to them are photographs of Maskhadov and Basayev. Those who wore the posters were guarded by people in camouflage.

By the way, ordinary citizens who passed by during pickets and rallies said: “Lord, you are not ashamed, remove these posters that you are fooling around, you have already lost your mind!” That is, the people, too, adequately respond to such things.

Then there were publications. All this "dirt", as far as I know, began to spread from the city administration. The vice-mayor summoned some of the editors-in-chief and said first some things about Ryzhkov, and then about the materials that had already been paid for and that could be received in the near future. Such materials later appeared in Altaiskaya Pravda and Evening Barnaul.

On a voluntary basis, through one of the private television companies, participants in the journalistic resistance want to hold a television action - to organize independent information and analytical broadcasting to help people receive news without distorting information. The purpose of the action is to create a team of independent experts, whose groups of five people will be on the air every day. So that they don’t “blank and shut up”, but continuously: today - five people, tomorrow - new five, and so on.

Plus a letter of protest. Initially, this action was organized by the independent Altai newspaper Svobodny Kurs: they collected signatures in support, and then everyone made their own moral choice - to put their signature or not. Our entire editorial board of the State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company signed up, and the management did not know about it. Then people came and said: “Are you guys crazy, or what?”.

It seems to me that this is a spontaneous decision, but it only says one thing: that the inner world and values ​​of most of the local journalists are similar.
