Arshavin extended the contract with Zenit until 2008

A year and a half before the deadline of the current agreement, the leading Zenit midfielder Andrei Arshavin extended the contract with the club until January 1, 2008, reports UEFA.com .

The pupil of the St. Petersburg Football School "Change" became the player of Zenit in 1999, and in the Premier League debuted next season at the age of 19. Since 2001, he has been a player of the main composition, having held 121 matches in the Russian Championship and scoring 19 goals.
