The star of the Madrid football club “Real” David Beckham admitted to an interview with the British newspaper Mirror that he was burdened with the burden of popularity, RIA Novosti reports.
“Contrary to the opinion of the majority, I don’t like that posters with my image are hung everywhere, but I can’t do anything,” Beckham said. “If I buy oranges or I speak Spanish at a press conference, all newspapers are trumpeted about it, but I do not ask about it.”
At the same time, according to the midfielder of the England national team, although it is very difficult to constantly be under the constant attention of the public, he is pleased with how his life developed, and would not change anything in it.
“Yes, sometimes I dream of being alone, because I am not a big fan of close attention,” Beckham admitted. “Nevertheless, I was very lucky that I have achieved everything that I have, so it’s a sin to complain. At first I didn’t like a luxurious life, but now I feel comfortable, since I am used to all its components.”
